12:00 AM - 1:00 PM    Ladies who Lunch (& Learn) - Session 5 - Staying Safe Online - Terryville Classics Members
Plymouth Parks and Recreation will be hosting a 10 month Lunch and Learn program for Female Senior residents.  The focus of the lectures will be Health and Financial issues of interest to older women.  Lunches will be catered and served in the Town Hall Senior Lounge or Community Room.  Advance registration will be required.  Program will be free to Terryville Classics members and $5 for other residents
 
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM    Chair Yoga - for Flexibility and Strength - Chair Yoga - for Flexibility and Strength
Chair yoga can improve your flexibility, concentration and strength, while boosting your mood, and reducing stress and joint strain.Yoga has been shown to improve overall health when practiced regularly. As with many forms of exercise, it can be modified for people of varying abilities. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support.  It’s a great exercise for pretty much anyone — from corporate workers sitting at a desk all day to people who have flexibility or balance issues or who can’t get down on the floor to exercise.Additionally, a recent study from Florida Atlantic University shows that chair yoga is an effective alternative treatment for reducing pain related to osteoarthritis.Classes will be taught by Joan Bossi.  Joan is a certified  Yoga Instructor who has taught yoga for over 5 years and she will be happy to help you modify the program for your specific issues.The Plymouth Dial-A-Ride program is available to transport participants to and from our Wednesday morning classes.  Call 860-283-0060 to make your arrangements in advance of the start of classes.
